Hellbound review: Sam Stone meets Quake Guy

Hellbound by Saibot Studios sees itself as a Classic First-Person Shooter (FPS) and gently warns the player: “This game is being made like it was the ’90-s, some people may find it too difficult”. An action game focused on speed, gore, guns, and metal music. Inspired by the 90s’ classics with modern visuals and audio! But how well does it capture the essence of those games of old in reality? Let’s have a look!

Generation Zero review: Explore, Fight, Loot, Repeat

In a few words, Generation Zero is a vanilla version of Fallout 76. It exploits the same core gameplay loop, namely exploration, fighting and looting, while lacking many other features. To the credit of the developer, shooting mechanics feel better in places, since in GZ there’s no server lag when pressing a firing button and movement feels smooth. It looks like the APEX engine (stands for Avalanche Open World Engine) by Avalanche Studios, known for Just Cause series, Rage 2 and many other AAA titles, is better suited for first-person shooters in an open world environment than the Creation engine by Bethesda. But did it help the developer beat the role model? Let’s take a closer look!

SHREDDER review: Will it Shred? Satisfying ASMR Shredding Game

The game “Will it Shred?” is an interactive experience of swiping objects into a shredder and watching them come apart. That’s basically the whole core gameplay. Is this game really “a game” is subject to definition you feel comfortable with when thinking about games. If you expect something with sophisticated gameplay, immersive narrative or breakthrough technology, “Will it Shred?” is definitely not a game at all. But if you’re a more open-minded person, capable of thinking outside the box, this is your chance to know something new about games in general and yourself in particular.

CALIBER game review: the fantasy of being a Special Forces operator fulfilled / Beta version

Caliber is a realistic free-to-play class-based third-person tactical shooter developed by 1C Game Studios and published by Wargaming.net, known mainly for World of Tanks (as well as Warplanes and Warships). The game is scheduled for release in Russia and the CIS region on PC for market research and in the case of success – worldwide. I was lucky to participate in closed beta testing during a free weekend in mid-October 2019 and here are my first impressions or an early review as you please.

Is Fallout 76 worth playing both as single player and multiplayer? Early review

Just in case you don’t know, Fallout 76 is an MMO spinoff of Fallout series that can be played as both single player and multiplayer game. You are going to play for the Vault 76 dweller, leaving the shelter 25 years after the nuclear war. The game scored poorly at the start, almost 75% of all user reviews at Metacritic were negative. Old Fallout fans were obviously not particularly satisfied with the game, and I’ll try to explain below why. I also going to draw parallels between Fallout 4 (hereinafter F4 for simplicity) and Fallout 76, coz that’s the game you probably all played.
