In this review I will recommend you which premium ship is a better farmer, and which has more power. Get ready for a list of TOP 10 best premium ships to farm credits and the most overpowered ships in WoWS!
The best premium ship to farm credits in World of Warships
In World of Warships, the prime intent of a premium ship is to farm credits. And the higher the ship’s tier is, the more credits she farms. But this is true for premium ships up to tier IX inclusive. Experience has shown that tier VII to IX premium ships are the best to farm credits, since tier VI and lower tier ships are comparatively ineffective as farmers.
A good rule of thumb is to select a ship of a class you’re good at playing. This way you’ll not only have fun playing on your new premium ship, but raise your income in credits. Note that you can get premium ships for Doubloons, Free XP, Coal or Steel. This doesn’t matter since it doesn’t affect their farming qualities.
As for tier X premium ships they don’t farm credits much, though they are great for farming Ship XP and Commander XP. And since you can plant an existing Commander without a penalty on any premium ship, those tier X premium ships are more convenient than linear.
Summarizing the above, if you want to buy the best premium ship to farm credits in World of Warships, go for a tier IX to tier VII premium ship (the higher the better) for Doubloons, Free XP, Coal or Steel. To maximize the result, buy a ship of a class you’re comfortable playing on.
TOP 10 Best and the most overpowered premium ships in WoWS
I’d tried making this part as objective as possible by taking unofficial statistics on premium ships’ win rates from an NA realm over a period of 28 days as of April 1, 2020. I ignored premium ships that were removed from sale. I ignored low-tier ships and made a separate TOP 10 list out of them. I also removed Smolensk, Jean Bart, Flint and Neustrashimy from all lists, because these ships will be removed from sale in patch 9.4.
And here’s a list of the most overpowered ships in WoWS:

Note that premium and promo ships are not equally accessible to World of Warships players. Ships such as Stalingrad, Bourgogne, and Somers are available for Steel that is a rare resource. Players owning these ships have more experience and a higher win rate than an average WoWS player. No wonder that these ships tend to higher win rate.
On the contrary, ships available for Coal and Free XP are the most accessible and hence tend to 50% win rate. Since the above TOP 10 list is an attempt to compare incomparables, I added more TOP 10 lists for the best tier X premium ship, best ship for Coal, Free XP and Doubloons separately.
But before that here's a TOP 10 list of the most OP low-tier ships just for lulz.

A few explanatory words. First, I included all ships regardless to whether or not they are available for sale. Second, I made it TOP 9 since after Emden there came Valkyrie that is a tier III linear UK Destroyer. And she’s the most OP linear low-tier ship in NA realm, btw. Iwaki Alpha and Arkansas Beta are honorary ships for players that took part in Alpha and Beta testing. Whether these ships are overpowered is an open question, but the players playing on those ships are. Imperator Nikolai I was removed from sale back in 2015 soon after the release since she was overpowered. As you can see, nothing changed. Most of these low-tier premium ships are very old, except for Vampire that was released for sale at the end of 2017.
